INTRODUCTION
ITIS 4 Development is a Non Profit organization that provides quality STEM Education to teenagers and Youths. ITIS represents Impact, Technology, Innovation, sustainability, 4 for development to achieve global development. It was founded in 2021.
PROBLEM
STEM education has contributed to national development in different sectors such as healthcare, agriculture and telecommunication and many more, however, STEM education in so many underdeveloped countries such as “Nigeria” is presently facing lots of challenges inhibiting its development.
And this has lead to lack of creativity, employability skills, low research output, and almost 70% lack of critical thinking and problem solving skills amongst youths and teens, which is hindering national development.
ABOUT ITIS 4 DEV
ITIS 4 Development Global, is a STEM organization that leverages the use of technology to impact problem solving skills, technical skills, and leadership skills amongst teenagers and youths through, youth empowerment programs, community outreach, technical/ STEM skill acquisition workshops, seminars, competitions fellowship programs and international challenges, in order to foster curiosity in them to build up change makers that advocates for sustainability.
We are also an organization concerned about our Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), so every three years, we target 1 problem we are currently challenged with, and create a product that helps ease the effects of the problem, or directly solve it.
For the next three years, We are working towards addressing climate change by creating awareness to our target audience, and using our current curriculum to spark curiosity in them.
Implementation programs would be hosted for the best ideas proposed in our challenges and competitions as well as our own solutions too.
